Real Knitting

Unbelievably, I took about 400 pictures of Z with this little soaker on, and this was the best of the lot. I have come to the conclusion that I stink at photography. I'm okay with that, though; gives me something to learn.

Pattern is the Curly Purly Soaker, which was excellent, knit up quickly and fit my chunky boo bear well. I must make another. It'll be a littel while, tho, as I'm in the middle of a mag project.

These pix are for her baba, who will be interested to see that baby's first hair style makes her look like a little sumo wrestler:

And that Z totally has her Daddy's eyes:

Technology is Teh Suck

Is this thing on?

I'm still here, but my beloved laptop is on the fritz. Der bloggage will be minimal for the next while until I can get her back on her feet.

Baby's soaker is finished photographed, and I'm back on to her cardigan.
Waiting for yarn for a mag project -- I'd hoped to make my original deadline despite this delay, but that's just not gonna happen now. Ugh. Shipping delays are also teh suck.

Cheating a Little

Though I am eager to see baby's new cardi finished, project monogamy has never been mama's strong suit. Especially when it's crunchy cotton. Thus, I've returned to the comfort of my old friend, wool.

And may I just say: Aaaaah. My wrists are so much happier!

In my defense, it is another project for baby, and promises to be a quickie (the Curly Purly Soaker). I've snagged a perky color of 220 -- honestly, it's called Shrimp! Too cute! -- and am halfway done with the ribbing. If this fits well, Miss Bebe may end up with a wardrobe of these.
